The Clymer manual is good in that it works around the use of all the special tools, but it is dated. The OEM (Factory) manual that I got in 99 was the basic 4 speed manual with addendums for each of the 90's years up to 99 that the bike was sold in the USA. Expensive but corect data, only problem with any of them is if there are corrects or changes based on what happens to the unit in service you don't have the tech bulletins to update the manual. Clymer would be even less apt to have the current information. Clymer is quick and easy to get, OEM takes a while and was about $55 as I remember, my 99 version for my 96 came shrink wrapped loose leaf so I put it in a 1" binder. Max
